At the Pittsburgh’s mayor’s office my main responsibilities include policy research presented in the form of talking points and policy briefs (see the ‘Papers and Presentations’ tab for examples). I have also worked on the formalization of local government processes and on daily Pittsburgh news summaries that are provided to the whole office.

Steel Manufacturers Association

May 2019 – August 2019

As a full time summer intern at the largest trade association representing American electric arc furnace steel producers, my responsibilities included offering assistance and support to every aspect of the trade association’s duties. I worked with trade, environmental, and safety data. I was also in charge of some aspect of planning their annual meeting and in working with the events platform cvent.

Global Nomads Group

Development Intern

September 2018 – December 2018

As the development intern at Global Nomads group I supported the grant writing, fundraising, and funding identification efforts of the MENA regional director. I specifically did outreach to schools across the MENA region and worked with the MENA non-profit platform DARPE.

Pittsburgh City Council District 1

Intern

October 2017 – May 2018

At my internship with Pittsburgh City Councilwoman Darlene Harris from District 1, I gained experience with local government. There I responded to constituent concerns, read and summarized city reports, and conducted research on proposed policies. I learned to use city databases and the inner workings of city government.
