Extra Curricular Activities

During my time at Pitt, I was involved in Pitt Tonight and Epsilon Sigma Alpha.

Pitt Tonight is a late-night style TV show entirely produced by students. I was a member of the writing team. My global experience helped me to engage better in round-table discussion and connect with new members.

Epsilon Sigma Alpha is a co-ed service fraternity that fundraises for St. Jude’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. I spent my time canning at Penguins games, helping clean Oakland of trash, and making holiday cards for those in the hospital. When being globally minded, it is important to remember your roots!

Casa San José

From my Sophomore summer to my Senior year at Pitt, I worked with an organization called Casa San José. Casa San José is a non-profit organization that helps latino immigrants in the Pittsburgh area get access to social services. I had the pleasure of being an office intern and youth program director for them in summer of 2017, and have continued to volunteer with them ever since. In the office, I worked one-on-one with clients in Spanish and helped assess and solve needs. For the youth program, I worked with children ages 8-14 every Saturday taking them to museums and fun activities around Pittsburgh.
