Canvass America

At Canvass America, I worked with a team of students to go into the Pittsburgh community and survey local members about the problems they were facing politically, socially, and economically. From this, we gained a comprehensive understanding of the issues present in ordinary people’s lives and learned how they believed these problems could best be remedied. I believe that these one-on-one discussions with members of the community is vital to our success not just here in Pittsburgh, but also the world.

PSSA

Throughout my years at Pitt, I was involved with the Political Science Student Association (PSSA). Here, we met for lively political discussion, debate, and to meet with local officials. I particularly enjoyed gathering with like-minded individuals and identifying the problems our campus and city faces. I also felt a great sense of relief after speaking with Pittsburgh elected-officials and hearing about their vision for the city.
