A passionate musician, explorer, engaged global citizen, and aspiring Renaissance man using cultural diplomacy and languages as tools to promote international understanding, cooperation, and development
I currently work as a writer, with interviews and articles that are published and featured in outlets such as City of Asylum’s Sampsonia Way Magazine, LinkedIn, The Fifth Floor Newsletter of the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) English Department, and GamersDecide.com, on topics ranging from public policy to arts and culture to entertainment
My overall professional goal is to construct a global career in cultural diplomacy. This career could continue to take shape through working in the US or abroad as an international arts manager, a diplomat, or an arts education administrator, for example.
In my time at the University of Pittsburgh, I had three main academic goals.
First, I aimed to become as proficient as possible in the French and Italian languages before graduation. Second, I worked to develop skills that are practical and marketable for a variety of industries, including professional written and verbal communication, presentation capabilities, cross-cultural understanding and navigation, and networking. Third, I designed and implemented a University of Pittsburgh course of study centered around the themes of
- cultural diplomacy, which means using the arts and cultures to foster mutual understanding between groups of people, and
- social entrepreneurship, which means using business to generate a positive impact on society.
