Cultural Ambassador

I served as a Cultural Ambassador at Washington D.C. based nonprofit Legacy International’s program Saudi Young Leader’s Exchange Program, where we hosted 35 students in the medical, business and architecture fields for a month of group work in entrepreneurship, teamwork, business development and cultural understanding.

Daily programs includes meeting with local entrepreneurs, creating and building business ideas to be actually implemented after the program using funding obtained through Legacy International (after a rigorous presentation and evaluation process), cultural understanding events and tons of Washington, D.C. sightseeing and fun.

Intern

I served as an Intern at the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh for the month of June during the summer of 2017. I collaborated with the Council team on community outreach, company information organization, compiling background guides for interviews and Council programs, writing questions for the Council’s WorldQuest Trivia event, learned about nonprofit management, and attended events focusing on International politics and relations.

One of the highlights of this experience was having the opportunity to meet and interview Mr. Thomas Sanderson of the C.S.I.S. (Center for Strategic and International Studies) on behalf of the World Affairs Council about his work researching and understanding international conflicts.
