Hello! Nice to meet you. My name is Evelyn Bigini, and I am a Nursing and Global Health graduate from the University of Pittsburgh. I combined my Global Health Certificate with Nursing to study the effects of socioeconomic and cultural factors on people’s health and livelihoods. It has been an enlightening experience for me to learn about community health and human development from an international perspective.
My area of focus is women’s and children’s health, specifically collaborating with migrant individuals and families. In the future, I want to work alongside refugees and displaced persons to discuss their concerns, provide primary care and basic resources, and promote upstream change in legal systems.
