Study Abroad

This trip has allowed me to witness a nation not drastically different from my own, however, in my opinion, works more efficiently in many aspects of their legal system; I have learned an incredible amount about Ireland’s, and the United States’, police force, court system, correctional system, probation and parole services, and juvenile system. We visited active and inactive prisons, visit a juvenile detention center, were able to sit in on a big criminal case proceeding, and met with police officials a parole services. This was an amazing trip and really allowed me to see the type of governance, an execution of that governance, that happens in another western country very similar to my own.
