Community Engagement

I was involved in multiple extracurricular activities while at Pitt. I was Co-Founder and President of The Turkish Table, which is a Turkish language club. We organize activities where Turkish games would be played, visit local Turkish restaurants, etc. I was also Membership Bonding Chair and then Parliamentarian for Gamma Sigma Sigma, which is a national service organization. I was also and active member in Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law fraternity and a student investigator in Students Conquering Cold Cases.

Through Gamma Sigma Sigma, I had to complete at least 25 hours of service every semester. I have been able to volunteer with some amazing events and organizations across Pittsburgh. Likewise, I have been able to get involved with the community through the University of Pittsburgh’s numerous days of service, like PMADD and MLK Day of Service. I have been able to see certain aspects of major topics discussed in my coursework in certain neighborhoods in Pittsburgh.
