My first job at the University of Pittsburgh was as the Student Sustainability Coordinator for the Department of Housing, Food Services, and Panther Central. I optimized waste stream efficiency, coordinated Residence Life Sustainability Liaisons, and worked with housekeepers on sustainable best practices. I also helped multiple student groups implement their sustainable initiatives on campus, serving as both a mentor and connection to University administration. I had the privilege of being one of two students to sit in on the University Sustainability Committee meetings while we drafted the official University Sustainability Plan.

I also worked as an intern at the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation, where I equipped advisors in the School of Arts and Sciences with the knowledge necessary to advise students on sustainability opportunities on campus.

My experience working at the University of Pittsburgh has given me the invaluable skills of navigating a bureaucracy, existing in a formal office setting, communicating with upper level employees, and pitching my own projects and proposals.
