In my final semester, I had the opportunity to work as an intern at Voci Technologies, a speech analytics company located in the Strip District. It was a great work environment and acclimated me to what a job in the industry is like.
We worked on several projects dealing with the emotion and sentiment from audio and transcriptions in customer service calls. I was able to put my Spanish to use as I annotated transcripts from customer service calls that were then used to teach their artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning algorithms. This work gave me valuable insight into the world of data analytics and how it intersects with customer satisfaction.
